This water-based hydroxylated acrylic dispersion is designed for formulating high-performance water-based 2K polyurethane topcoats for various metal substrates. It is compatible with both solvent-based and water-based isocyanate curing agents.
Featuring a hydroxyl content (WEI) of 3.9%, the resin performs exceptionally well in high-temperature, low-humidity environments. It also offers cost-effective compatibility with solvent-based curing agents.

The viscosity of the product is affected by the pH value, as the pH value increases, the viscosity and thixotropy will increase.
Key Features:
Excellent compatibility with solvent-based isocyanate curing agents
Outstanding water resistance
Extended application period (pot life).
Application:
Prepare Curing Agent: Dilute the solvent-based curing agent to 60-70% solids using a suitable co-solvent (e.g., BGA, PGDA, or PMA+DBE blend [1:2 ratio]).
Mix Components: Combine Component A (main agent) and the diluted Component B (curing agent). Mix thoroughly using a pneumatic or electric stirrer.
Control Water Dilution: Add water cautiously. Dilution should not exceed 10% by weight of Component A; 5% is recommended. Higher dilution may reduce gloss.
Grinding Restriction: Due to inherent instability risks during grinding that can compromise product stability, this resin is not recommended for use in color paste grinding processes.
This resin is compatible with solvent-based curing agents.
The paint film properties listed below were measured using formulations incorporating these solvent curing agents.
