 ‌  Coil coating is a super-efficient, automated process where metal sheets get coated before being cut or shaped. Think of it like "pre-painting" – the metal is first cleaned and treated, then receives a tightly bonded coating that dries into a flawless protective layer. This approach ensures two big advantages:

1.Durability Boost: By coating flat metal (instead of shaped parts), you get ultra-uniform, defect-free protection. The result? Better corrosion resistance and longevity than coatings applied after manufacturing.

2.No Weak Spots: Shapes like car parts or building panels often have tricky corners or grooves that are hard to coat evenly. Coil coating solves this by applying the finish upfront, avoiding thin or missed areas.

But there's a catch – the coating must stay flexible. It needs to bend and stretch without cracking when the pre-coated metal is later formed into final products (like roofing panels or appliance doors). WL-182 is a water-based Polyester resin that mixes easily with deionized waterjust keep adding water to thin it as needed! To keep it happy, adjust its pH with common additives like ammonia or organic amines. Fun fact: the thicker it gets, the higher the pH!

Application Guide

 

After WL-182 is neutralized with N, N-dimethylethanolamine( 5~6% of the resin), it can be directly diluted with water.

 

Add methylated amino resin (20%-30% of the resin) for baking and curing. The baking temperature is above 120°C. The baking conditions and paint film properties are related to the amino resin used. When it used with the fully methylated amino resin, an acid catalyst(0.5-1% of the resin) must be added, and the baking temperature must be above 140°C.

 

Storage Condition

Store the product in a cool and dry place, the recommended storage temperature is 0~40℃. The shelf life is one year. After the expiration date, if the test passed, it still can be used.
